Crosstown Concerts Presents  Current Joys  + fantasy of a broken heart Current Joys is the indie-rock project of American musician Nick Rattigan, also known as the frontman and drummer of Surf Curse. Originally from Nevada, Rattigan began releasing music as Current Joys in 2013, developing a distinctive sound blending lo-fi indie rock, post-punk, dreamy melodies, and emotionally introspective lyrics. His music often draws inspiration from cinema and explores themes of love, loneliness, nostalgia, and self-reflection. Albums such as Wild Heart, A Different Age, and Voyager helped build a dedicated following, while later releases like LOVE + POP and East My Love showcase his increasingly collaborative and genre-fluid approach.
