We rescue over 100M+ pounds of fresh food annually, feeding more than ten million people nationwide. Every dollar donated allows Sharing Excess to distribute enough food to feed 12 people. North Brooklyn Parks Alliance is a full-scale public realm conservancy that operates in parks, plazas, and open streets throughout Greenpoint and Williamsburg. The organization works across city agencies and land jurisdictions to deliver comprehensive, city-aligned improvements that merge maintenance, horticulture, sustainability, and community engagement. NBK Parks offers fellowships and programs that invite volunteers to get hands-on in caring for public space: planting plants, pulling weeds, cleaning streets, and caring for trees.
