Renegade Communications presents: The Van Morrison Alumni Band

14+ (under 16s with an adult) Renegade Communications in association with Phil McIntyre Live presents: MOONDANCE: THE COMPLETE ALBUM LIVE... AND MORE The Van Morrison Alumni Band celebrates one of the greatest albums of all time. Back in February 1970, aged just 24, Van Morrison released Moondance—a record that would define an era and cement his place in music history. A seamless blend of jazz, soul, blues, and R&B, it gave us some of the most enduring songs ever written: Into the Mystic, Crazy Love, And It Stoned Me, Caravan and that unforgettable title track. Now, over half a century later, The Van Morrison Alumni Band is bringing this landmark record back, live on stage. Featuring musicians who have performed and recorded alongside Morrison himself, join the band as they play all ten tracks in their original running order - along with the songs that Van Morrison recorded for the album, but held back, only to become hits several years later.  Witness The Van Morrison Alumni Band capture the passion and spontaneity that made the album legendary, as Leo Green delves into the making of Moondance through some extraordinary stories. Then enjoy a second half packed with Van Morrison's most loved hits, as Leo shares insight into the songs, along with first-hand recollections of times on the road and in the studio with one of the greatest songwriters of our time. More than an album tribute, this is an incrediblejourney inside the music, told and performed by musicians who know Van Morrison's world from the inside. THE VAN MORRISON ALUMNI BAND IS A COLLECTION OF MUSICIANS WHO HAVE WORKED WITH VAN MORRISON. VAN MORRISON HIMSELF DOES NOT APPEAR OR TAKE PART IN ANY OF THE CONCERTS. Why do we have a restoration Levy?  Put very simply, our restoration levy is an additional charge added to your ticket price which is directly invested back into the venue. This money is used for critical maintenance, repairs, and preservation efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability of the building. As the 3rd oldest church building in Glasgow, dating back to 1836, Saint Luke's requires ongoing care and special restoration to maintain its historic character and facilities. This levy will enable us to fund essential projects that will safeguard the venue's future as a vibrant hub for live music and community events. If you would like to be kept up to date on progress with how we are using this fund then please follow us on social media @stlukesglasgow, and sign up to our mailing list where we will send out quarterly updates on the improvements that your donations are helping us make.
