He gained national attention as a founding member of the folk-rock band Cowboy Mouth, helping define their energetic sound before launching a prolific solo career rooted in sharp storytelling and deeply personal songwriting. Blending rock, folk, and Crescent City soul, Sanchez has become known for his heartfelt lyrics and commanding stage presence.Beyond performing, Sanchez is an accomplished composer and collaborator, creating acclaimed musical works including Nine Lives: The Musical of Cat Stevens and The True Story of the Neville Brothers.
