A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and storyteller based in Charleston, West Virginia, Young blends alternative country, bluegrass, and folk into a sound he calls "Holler Poetry," raw and emotionally driven, steeped in mountain tradition and personal history. Though he grew up playing drums, Young taught himself fiddle during a hospital stay after a rock climbing accident, asking for his grandfather's heirloom fiddle and finding not just rehabilitation but transformation. His debut album Della, named after his daughter, introduced listeners to his intimate, narrative-driven songwriting. His sophomore album Eddy expands that vision into a timeless tragic love story grounded in modern emotion. Patient, intimate, and timeless.
